| The final meeting of 2025 for Chorlton Mark Lodge saw two candidates for advancement, namely Bro's Michael Stuart Berrisford and Kenneth William Harding, and the Lodge was delighted to welcome them as Mark Men at a meeting which contained just about everything! A real Christmas cracker you might say. | |

| The meeting was opened by the Worshipful Master Bro Ezra McGowan in excellent fashion and one of the earliest items of business was the approval of two charitable donations of £100 each firstly to M&J Support Services, a Community Group offering daycare for SEND clients and secondly to the Friends of Davyhulme Park. | |
| Bro McGowan then invited W.Bro David Durling into the chair for the advancement ceremony which was completed with the skill and aplomb to which Chorlton Lodge are accustomed whenever Brother Durling delivers any ritual. This, of course, set the scene for the high standard of ceremony with particular mention of Bro Ian Wood who presented the working tools and W.Bro Geoff Roberts Prov GSD, who stood in as Senior Overseer. All of this under the direction of Director of Ceremonies W.Bro Michael Tonge. | |
| The addition of new Brethren meant that there was a pent-up demand for items from the Provincial shop and after discussion with W.Bro Phil Lyon he very kindly joined Chorlton Mark Lodge as a guest for the evening bringing with him a ‘mini shop’ which was very well received and Chorlton Mark Lodge hope that this gave a suitable sales boost. Thank you, Phil, for your service and commitment, very much appreciated. | |
| A sumptuous Christmas dinner was then enjoyed by all. | |
